I'll walk through this...
Since you want to combine like terms, you will have 7y-16=180
You will add 16 to both sides to get the variable by itself, ending up with 7y=196
Divide both sides by 7, and you get y=28.

I have another problem which i don't understand. 4x-2+3y-1=180. I don't know what to do with the variables.
