STILL WORKING...edit again still working...dammit. its been too long. i think i solved it but its such a messed up way im not gonna try to explain, ok im tryin again not finishing this will bug me.
4x-2+3y-1=180
combine like terms
4x+3y=183
divide each side by 4
x+3y=45.75
divide each side by 3
x+y=15.25
move x to one side
y=15.25-x
input this where ever y is in the original problem
4x-2+3(15.25-x)-1=180
solve
4x+47.75-3x=183
combine like terms
x+47.75=183
add -47.75 to both sides
x=135.25
