Well I haven't been here in forever. With the recent closure of the MJ thread at H2F, and how this seems like a more laid back community, I might come here more often now. Plus, the amount of shit that goes on at school, it'll be nice to vent, or hear about your problems so I don't feel as bad. As well I wouldn't mind hearing good stories, posting them as well when I have them. So bitches, I'm back
So I was just wondering how everyone's first semester went by. I still have another couple of weeks, and exams are at the end of the month, and that's how we do it in Canada.

But since most of you guys are onto semester 2, write up how semester 1 was. All the good and bad times, and everything. I just want to compare mine to yours. I just started high school. I'm in grade 9, and, the almost first half has been a wild ride for me, so whether you're in the same position, or laid back in grade 11, I want a story!

So as for me, high school started of AMAZING! So many new things, that comparing it to middle school, is just a joke. First off, the freedom. Getting to go wherever at lunch, instead of being boxed into a lunchroom, and then forced to go outside, when it was like -10 outside. The different classes. I mean I've been pretty lucky with the people I've had in my middle school, but you never know when all your friends are in other classes. Plus it gets you to become better friends with a whole different bunch of people. Another good reason, is that a bunch of different middle schools came into one big school. So I was lucky. I knew everyone from my school, and people from another school too. So it would be cool talking to some chick, and then seeing someone from my school, and they'd be like, "OMG who was that?"
After a month, I hooked up with this girl. Couple days later we're dating, 2 weeks later, we're really close. So from October, to December, I had the best time of my life. I didn't realize it back then, but I look back at it now, and how happy I was, and I'd do anything to go back. But I know I should be looking at the future, but so anyways.
During the 3 months, all the different people from different schools, obviously ended up meeting, and now it's just one big happy family. Everyone knows everyone and no one is a stranger. It's even hard for me to say who's popular. Like there's is the large population of kids who hang out together, and I have no idea who they are, and don't really care about em, cause they mind their own business. I myself was never really popular, I just knew the popular kids. But now that so many people are friends, and since I'm friends with them, I guess I'm kinda in the group too.
So the 3 months were the same for me. I'd come to school, meet my girlfriend, say hi, hug, kiss, and talk with some friends. Bell rang, we'd walk up to the second floor, say goodbye, and I'd go to the third. After first period, since she had my French class next, I'd wait for her. Have like a minute to talk, and then I'd go downstairs to English. After English, I'd go upstairs, meet her, and we'd walk downstairs with some people, and chill. I'd either chill with just a couple of friends, or we'd all be together, and I'd be sitting with my girlfriend. Then math class we had together, and then I'd see her to her English class on the second floor, and myself go up to the third for Business. Then meet her after school, say goodbye, and repeat.
But then, December comes up, and everything starts going downhill. Which is understandable, because everything that goes up, must eventually come down, but you know you hate it when it does. It starts of right before December, when some people broke into our house. My 360, Wii, games, a bunch of electronics, all stolen. Luckily, the TV's and computers were still there, and nothing was broken, so it was obvious that some teenagers did it. Especially since no jewelry was stolen.
So, thinking, it's just a bump in the road, I keep living life. But of course, it only gets worse. Me and my girlfriend started drifting apart. During the break she went down to the states, and I just chilled with some friends, got high, and just kinda took it easy. It wasn't really fun, cause I just wanted to spend time with her again. But she comes back, and things get worse, we break up, and now I had school a couple days later.
So now, since I was so used to the same pattern everyday, it's hard to go back to a different one. And since everyone is friends with each other, it makes it even worse. My now ex, and me, pretty much avoided each other all day yesterday. And it's hard, when the same group of people you talk to, she does. But I'm really bad at hiding emotions. If I feel bad, I show it, and it's obvious. I can't lie to myself that I'm happy, and go around with a smile on my face. She on the other hand, somehow can. She talks, laughs, and has fun with friends. Me on the other hand, I really don't feel like starting conversation, and don't have the will to laugh, etc.
So today, I went through the whole day again, avoiding her. Same as she's avoiding me. And it's not that I wanted to, it's cause she looked like she didn't want me talking to her. So then math class, she walks by my desk and drops of a note. Tells me to be happy and whatnot. Business, goes by, my friend tells me that she told me that I give her dirty looks, or something. So I knew that I had to talk to her and try and make things a bit better. So I did, and we talked and it got a tiny bit better. But there's still a lot I have to tell her, and I asked, and she agreed to spend a bit of time tomorrow at lunch, just to talk, with no rush.
So that was my semester up till now. From the top, down to the bottom, and now trying to pick myself back up. My first part of high school was all based around my girlfriend, so now without her, it's really weird.
I know I ranted a bunch, but I seem to do it a lot. You don't have to respond to mine, but I wouldn't mind hearing your stories.
So how was your first bit of school?
