sorry i don't know anything about the book but i can help you with length. try to integrate as many quotes as possible.
and ctrl+h --> more options --> use wildcards --> in the fields put a period (.) --> after clicking in the second field go down to format and increase the font by 2 sizes --> hit replace all.
what it does is increases the size of the periods in the paper. u can just replace the fields with any punctuation and repeat the steps.
