|  So I took this girl to this dance... :

And I really don't know what she thought of me. On one hand, we danced for like, three and a half hours. Sometimes she ran off to talk with friends, but she was always back in thirty seconds to drag me over to wherever she was. But then when we slow-danced, she would never look up at me, and when her friends would kiss at the beginnings and ends of the songs, she would have her head turned about as far to the right or left as it could go, to keep me from getting any ideas.
As a rock fan in a room full of rap, hip-hop, and pop, I did not know most of the songs and started a bit clunky. I got used to it after about half an hour though.
The worst part was at the end, there was a huge jam as everybody tried to get their coats. Somebody threw up in the line when we were almost at the front, and they made everybody at the front leave the line and stand off to the side. Nobody let us back in the line. I volunteered to go get our coats, and by cutting ahead when security wasn't looking I was back to where I left her in less than 15 minutes. (There were over 1800 people standing in line at the start.) But she had already left, trying to find me. It took another 25 just to find her, and by then she could not have been very happy.
But she acted nice, of course, and the chit chat while I drove her home was a little looser than it had been all night. But it wasn't loose enough to be comfortable.
So I did not get a very good read of how much she liked me, and I want you guy's input. Don't lie now, tell me what you really think.

tehe. I am far from a guy, but I am a girl, meaning I should be able to help. Hopefully.
First off, when she was looking away, twas cuz she prob thinks she is a bad kisser or she is just not comfortable, yet. Have u been out with her before? She kept comming back for u. 'tis good. That means she felt comfortable enough to have u around her friends and that she did not want to be away from u. Second, tie a really nice thing u did with the coats. Girls like a guy that can take charge in a bad situation. Last, she prob chatted with u more then cuz she relized how sweet u were. She relized she could trust u.
I hope this helps, hun. Every situation is diffrent, but most of the time, the girl is thinking simillar things. She is prob sitting with her friends conversing and desiding to call u or not.

I didn't kiss my girlfriend for two years, she said she wanted to make sure I "deserved" it. Then again, my girlfriend is weird about affectionate stuff.

Thank you Kitty. I am serious there, it is very helpful to get a girl's viewpoint. It was our first time out together, and the first time I've done something with a girl in 11 months, so I was a little nervous too. I'll see her again Tuesday (during class), and, well, I guess I'll decide what to do when I get there. I'll let you know tho.
EDIT: And thanks to NDom too. Patience is a good attribute.

It is good to be patient. But remember one thing: Rejection is better than regret.
If you don't have another opportunity to try something, then it is best to try and be rejected than not try and feel regretful afterward.
It seems clear that you WILL have another chance, so when that time comes, good luck! |

they r all right. U r welcome, Hun. Most girls do not like to kiss on the first date. I normally do not. I am sure things will be fine. She likes u, I am sure. If she does not, forget her. U could find better. U seem like a nice guy, this u deserve a nice girl, no?
ND, 'tis supprizing most peoples would give up after that long. Go u. 
Shamds, u r right. Peoples can not dwell on rejection. Everyone gets rejected at least once. 'tis just life.
Ds, I wish u all the luck in the world. I am sure u will need it not.

hmmm...-okay i am not a dude, & im really not like most girls. [girls annoy me] lol.- i think i would of done the samething she did. i would of turned my face away too. if i saw my friends doing that when me and a guy are right next to them dancing i would of freaked out a bit. it's embarrassing...a few dances that ive been to ive done the samething. i cant look my guy in the eyes. mostly because of maybe being nervous. but if she was with you the whole time that means she wanted to be with you. and when she did leave she always came back in a few seconds. id say that is pretty good if she was talking and be nice towards the end. :] |
