A perfect square is any number that, when taking the square root, will produce a real number.
For example, 26 is not a perfect square because when taking the square root of 26, it gives you a number with decimal places. In other words, there are no SAME TWO numbers that when multiplied together will produce 26.
On the other hand, 100 is a perfect square because when taking the square root of 100 you get a real number, the number 10. In other words, since 10 times 10 = 100, then 100 is a perfect square.
How about 25? Yes, because 5 times 5 = 25.
How about 36? Yes, because 6 times 6 = 36.
