Our assignment is to create a poster board full of information on a specific cell. My cell is erthyrocytes / red blood cells.
The poster board needs to include:
History of its discovery + tools used to study it –
Its importance if any... is it dangerous? Commonly studied? Important to scientists and why –
The parts of the cell... Basic organelles as well as any defining features that is unique to your cell type-
How the cell moves around (flagella, cilia, pulling or other) –
Special features or functions of the cell related to (function, resistance, and chance of turning to cancer)
Classification of the cell prokaryotic vs eukaryotic
Shape definition and reasons for shape such as cell wall cytoskeleton etc
Any links to good information would be a HUGE help. Thank you. |

"Sickle cell anemia is an inherited condition which results in some erythrocytes being malformed. The gene for this condition causes the hemoglobin to be incorrectly formed, which in turn causes some erythrocytes to take on a crescent shape. These cells are not able to carry adequate amounts of oxygen to cells."

Yeah, I definitely expect you to give me all of the information for my project. 
I even said links to some things would be helpful. I explained what I need so whoever actually wanted to help would be able to find a link on what I actually need.
EDIT- Was I not supposed to explain what the project is about, and what information I need?

You should probably talk about hemophilia and such... | Yeah, I am using a picture (diagram) of sickle cell anemia for the poster board. So that will be helpful in explaining it, thanks. |
