I just though I'd share this kickass lesson.
We made liquid nitrogen ice cream today in Chemistry. Basically our teacher had a bunch of half and half, vanilla extract, and sugar in a huge bowl. She poured the liquid nitrogen into the bowl, and it made some ice cream!
Best lesson ever. It was used to describe changes in state in relation to pressure and all that (part of our gas laws unit). |

Yea it was amazing. My teacher also took a bunch of things, froze it in the liquid nitrogen, and shattered them on the floor...including a flower and a bouncy ball. |

Today we mixed chemicals to observe changes and etc.
It was part of learning about Chemical Reactions.
