Poe is probably one of my favorite short story writers of all time. He has a great style that's grotesque, but also beautiful in it's own ways. Definately topping his list would be "The Masque of the Red Death", "Cask of Amontillado", and "Tell-Tale Heart"

anyone else here have any opinions of Poe they'd like to share?

Amontillado is my favorite probably.

He is so dark in his writing, and sends chills down my spine almost every time I read a story written by him.

I don't really like much of his writing. A lot of it is confusing to me and is hard to understand. I like a few of his things though.
