Is harder than I expected. I have been in school 2 days, and this class is much more deep thinking, and open minded than just grammar and stuff. I am learning about nothing but literature and stuff. Anyone who has been through this feel the same way? |

Well, thats sorta where I am stuck because if I stay in past my first 9 weeks, I have to stay in honors english throughout the remainder of high school, but if i get out i cant get back in so I dont know what I am going to do. |

I have a feeling that you're right. On our first day, we're going to have a test on 3 books that we read over the summer..
The EngHonors class is going to require a lot of work, and they're going to pump you with a ton of homework as well.. so I think a significant amount of your time should be set on getting those assignments/essays done.
That's what I heard from some of my friends.

I decide that I didn't want to take it for my whole HS "career", so I dropped it early 9th grade for regular English. But I decide to go back for this year cause that's nice to have on a college resume.

Yeah I am sort of looking to the future for these classes, and since the 2011 graduates (in my area at least) have to have 25 credits to graduate now, so my plan is to really work hard because the required courses are a foreign language, some sort of art, (i am taking choir for this), and half a credit of health (there are more, but i will get to those along the way). This year I am knocking out my art credit by taking choir, and the health. Since we could only pick 2 electives this year, by taking half a credit of health i couldn't pick a full elective besides choir so i am doing creative writing as well, along wiht honors english. I plan to take a foreign language next year, along with some other elective and add an unacreditted study hall for 10th 11th and 12th so i can do homework before i leave school (most at least) and do stuff on weeknights because I will be able to drive.
Just saying, I felt like telling someone that stuff. lol |
