Here is one of the actual phrases.

"In 1929"--- adv. when
"outside of the Milky Way." ---adv. It tells where. An adverb answers the question where.
Use the general rules of the what an adverb answers: "how," "when," "where," "how much".
Adjective:
What kind is it? How many are there? Which one is it? My mom is an English teacher... (She typed all of this... except this part)
