Default Transferring Schools : 04-26-2009
Right now I am out in Colorado attending school and I am getting ready to transfer back out to California to attend UC Berkeley to get a degree in Business Admin and then a Masters in Finance.

In order to get in to their school of business I need these things pretty much:

  • 4.0 GPA
  • References from people who are well connected in the business world
  • A wide array of classes connected to business in some way or another
  • Be fluent in another language
  • Know most of the professors there and ensure that they know my name
  • Show serious amounts of dedicated time to the community
  • And if possible, show a portfolio that has a high percentage yield
  • One or more internships in the Finance areas of different companies
If anyone else is trying to transfer into a better school let me know and I might be able to help you out as far as figuring the process out and giving points of advice

Good luck, those are some nice/tough requirements. I'm happy with my school, they sent me a letter 2 days ago saying they will be giving me $2500 more per year LOL that's $3800 extra per semester now.
