| What do you guys study in Geography? :

This is aimed at you guys taking geography at a higher level than the compulsory stuff.
For me?
Human and Physical.
Human is focused upon Demographics,Civilisations,tourism etc. Pretty boring.
Physical is currently Hazards. |

I haven't taken Geography since 6th grade
All I remeber is that a plateau is a flat topped mountain.

We hardly even touch geography. One girl in my class actually pointed to South America and said "that one's Africa, right?"; lulz ensued.
Anyway though, what we did cover was where the countries were where our country has started wars. Apparently, war is the only reason for which Americans need to know geography. General knowledge of one's own planet is unnecessary I suppose.

General knowledge is also seen as something un-necessary in geography.
One girl was asked which way north was...she pointed to the ceiling.

I toom geography this year as an elective for only one semester. It was easy. Most of the test were on continents and then we would have to name the countrys, rivers, mountain ranges, etc. We also studied some culture. |
