The Length, width, and height of a rectangular box are consecutive integers, and the largest dimension is k cm. Find the volume V of the box.

Think of it this way, if an integer is a whole number, the largest value is the variable k, and each of the integers are consecutive....
To find the volume of the box, you multiply the legth x width x height. So, seeing as k is our largest value and everything is consecutive, k(k - 1)(k - 2)=V We need to factor this expression into simplest form (k2 - k)(k - 2)=V Now F.O.I.L. (First, Outer, Inner, Last) (k3- 2k2 - k2 + 2k)=V Add like terms
( k3- 3k2+ 2k)=V
That is the most condensed form of the equation. If she wants it to be a parabolic equation just factor out an k from equation #4. Any questions IM me or PM me.
