User Guide to Reputation :
06-28-2007
It's quite simple. +Rep
-Positive Reputation, often referred to as +rep should be given out when someone makes a good, helpful, and maybe even funny post. Common examples that will appear quite often on this site would be when a member answers another member's question, makes a good thread, or contributes in any way. -Rep
-Negative Reputation, often referred to as -rep should be given out when someone flames or posts something completely ridiculous, immature, or stupid. Common examples that will appear quite often on this site would be when a member asks a question and another member flames them for not knowing the answer. Reputation Abuse
-If you find that a member is abusing reputation, please immediately report it to a staff member so it can be taken care of. For those who don't know what this means, a common example of rep abuse is leaving negative reputation for no reason, or asking, usually begging other members to +rep you. Sign Your Rep
One of the more, annoying things about the Rep System is that when someone +rep/-rep 's you, it doesn't show who it was unless they sign it. By "signing" their rep, I mean leaving, in my case, "Nice post, keep it up. -Luke". Whether it be +Rep or -Rep, we encourage ALL members to sign their rep.
If you have any problems, suggestions, or concerns, please PM either Luke, Nastadon, Niceguy, Shmads, or Z.
Credit to Rainman for the Thread Idea. Thanks!
