Now that I'm allowed to make the threadzorz, I figure I'll ask again...

I've got a couple questions for anyone willing to answer.

Solve the equation: 1-sin2x=(root3)cosx

And the second, Prove this is an identity:

sinx+cosx/tan^2 -1= cos^2 / sinx-cosx

For the first one, I can't really solve it using math skills, but it's pretty evident that two of the solutions are 0 and n*pi (n just being any integer) because you can make the equation 1=root3(cosx)+sin2x so cos(0)=1 and sin(2*0)=0. Also, cos(n*pi)=1 and sin(n*pi)=0, so it works out as well. There's probably at least one more solution, but I would never do that without a calculator.

As for the second problem...I know what to do, but I'm having trouble solving it, so I'm thinking you need to put some parentheses to get the order of operations correctly, because I've tried a few different ways, and it's not working.

The reason why we can't solve these questions is because there appears to be a typo. The questions are not complete as typed. Check your book and write back.

For example, your first question is a trig equation.

What do you mean by (root3)? Do you mean sqrt{3)cosx?

Also, on the left side of the trig equation, do you mean
1 - sin2x or 1 - sin^2 (x).

For your trig identity question, you have this:

sinx+cosx/tan^2 -1= cos^2 / sinx-cosx

Look at the function in red. There is something missing there. I believe you meant to type this:

(sinx+cosx)/(tan^2 (x) -1)= [cos^2 (x)] /(sinx - cosx)

Check your book and get back to us.
