Thread: Frets On Fire (Guitar Hero PC!)

Well my 360 broke and I have to give it to microsoft for 5 weeks.... So I needed a way to play my Guitar Hero. I searched last night and found a way. I found all GH 1 and 2 songs for FoF! I will also tell you how to use your 360 controller on your comp for the game! All this info was scattered about on like 60 sites. So I'm just compiling it here to make things easier!

Drivers

PC

Okay... well now that you have all that you could just use your keyboard to play the game. But that is too difficult! So instead we are gonna install the X-Plorer controller for 360 to make the game better!

All you need to do is follow these simple steps and it should work perfectly.

1. Plug in your controller
2. Cancel when it asks you to install it
3. Download the driver (Download it here!)
4. Run it and there you go. Controller will now work with FoF.

For some people that does not work... So instead you will need Winrar. Do these steps.

1. Go to the folder where you downloaded the driver to
2. Right click, and select "Extract here"
3. Go into the update folder, right click update.inf, and click install
4. Now open your device manage
5. Should have the controller with the yellow junk on it.
6. Right click it, then hit Update Driver
7. Say "Yes, This time only", Install from a list, Then browse to the folder where you saved the driver.
8. Click next, should take a couple minutes, but it will find and install the driver.

Lastly just open FoF and use your Guitar and set the buttons to how you would have them on your 360! No SP or whammy bad though.

MAC
