yeah it is but you should practice it by yourself a few times so you are comfortable with it (get the angle you throw it at correctly). also if you press the shoot + melee buttons simultaneously with the flag you can get a 1-hit beatdown in games that normally take 2 hits (only works offhost on xbox live also works with oddball) - this is extremely useful in doubles since you have to rely on yourself a lot more than 4v4 and can get in 1v1 matchups most of the time.

that would be a funny "epic fail" one... sadly, there really are people who actually play like that. ps yzf, im a 50 in swat now so not a noob anymore lol

I can't think of any others right now... I guess one could be like.. coordinate and it shows someone sneaking and opening the base gate in last resort and then a warthog with gunner and ghost come charging through then the gate guy picks up flag and jumps in warthog.. that would be awesome but never happens lol

I'm surprised no one said use the gun that is going to be in their hand yet. I thought of that one a while ago. I also thought up of cheating and blocking off all entrances to the flag with boxes or crates or something. Those two will definitly make it in there. I think the failing at cheating one will be a good one I remember the 10 ways to tell if you are a noob at Halo where it had something like that and it was really funny.

Kill the other team with the gun you're holding is a way to defend your flag.

I thought Nastadon and all of his friends got 51's on Bungie?

Edit: I should be studying for my calc 2 midterm tomorrow, but instead I want to examine nastadon's frustration with [his experience of] the halo 3 leveling system.

I.e. I counted all of his doubles wins and losses (in the event of a tie, it was counted as a win since I did not want to check the results of every game).

Every 10 pages or so I would begin a new count to remember the numbers but this also helps show how he has played throughout the levels.

First (as in earliest) 10 pages (approximately) he went 54 wins and 22 losses.

Next. 12 wins and 21 losses.

Next. 15 wins and 20 losses.

Final (as in most recent). 46 wins and 19 losses.

Overall. 127 wins 82 losses. 60.77% win percentage.

From this I draw two things... one is that he had an intial high winning rate (expected for anyone who isn't a legit 10) then a series of losses in the middle portion - which I checked to be around levels 43-45. Then a high winning rate again (final) which only got him to 44 to 46.
The other thing I see is that he won a lot when he played a lot (54-22 and 46-19 being bigger than 15-20 and 12-21) or that just be a coincidence and instead the first wins be attributed to playing low levels and the final set due to something else (possibly, playing with a level 50 teammate or simply being better/more experienced at the game as time has passed).

His slow leveling from 44 to 46 could be due to several things. The most evident is that he had to make up big time for the middle series of numbers (he could have been very close to losing his 44). The other thing was that he was playing with a level 50 in the playlist. This means that his teammate had a really good record in the playlist AND was higher than (or in some cases, equal to) all the other levels in the playlist. When this happens, that entire team gets less "win" (the opposite case being of a deranking booster leveling up teammates very quickly). Finally, all of the first 3 series of numbers (15-20, 12-21, 54-22) were done with the same teammate in a 2-person playlist. Having an entire team of new accounts (or entire team of people who have never played the playlist) slows down leveling. This is because all of their uncertainties are high so it is assumed that they are better than their opponents. Normally the slower leveling of this unnoticeable, however, a full team of uncertainties gets very very little "win." I could spend several paragraphs proving this, however, there are many cases available for study such as my cousin's 1 month "Tod Slurpy" he won around 90 out of 100 games with 3 other new account players, and they were all only level 20s. There was some team that had about 300 wins and like 3 losses and were all level 30s in team slayer (Jp flatline was one of the members I believe - they left their full team setting in order to get their 50s).

Note: All claims/theories here are my own but can be further explained instead of studying for calculus ii.

Top 15 Ways to defend flag:
    15) Shove it down your pants, hope the other team isn't gay.
    14) Eat it.
    13) Suspend a cloud of poison gas around your flag.
    12) Suspend a cloud of poison gas on the entire map.
    11) Play on Valhalla, but hide flag on Guardian.
    10) Burn it.
    9) Bribe a player on the other team to steal it and jump on your Hornet. Fly in circles above the clouds.
    8) Hack the game. Make enemies explode when they touch your flag.
    7) Create a death zone of fusion coils which fall and explode on your flag.
    6) Bury it.
    5) Hack in and delete the flag.
    4) Dig a hole so deep it's impossible to escape. Lower flag into hole.
    3) Standby.
    2) Spawn rape the other team.
and the number one way to defend your flag is...
    1) Actually play the game without sucking

I believe we have some winners here. I don't think Mr. Doi would appriciate the shove it down you pants and hope the other team isn't gay one though. I might have to make two versions of this though, the school appropriate one and the not so good for school but a heck of a lot funnier version. Plus I don't think I'm going to make it to the wedding tomorrow cause I'm sick everyone else is still going just not me.

You do know that you could have gotten half that info off of halo3.junk.ws right? Much better than Bungie, they take all of Bungie's data and present it in a more user friendly way than searching through millions of games. I just remember reading a post about a glitch on B.net where he and all of his friends were 51's.

halo3.junk.ws is a gay website. I was a member there way the fuck back in the day. I think something like, 2004 or 2005, bunch of fat ass nubs that think they own the fucking netz.
